Your portal is typically administered by your Swank Motion Pictures account team

  • Contact your account manager and tell them that you are interested in setting up SAML SSO.
  • Use the file that we give you to configure your already-existing SAML 2.0 Identity Provider service, so that it will work with Streaming Server.
  • Generate the SAML Identity Provider Metadata XML file from your Identity Provider service.
    • Provide that file to your account manager as an email attachment. Swank will use that file to configure Streaming Server to work with your Identity Provider.
  • Provide test credentials
    • Give your account manager the username and password of test accounts in your system.
    • Provide one set of credentials for each user role that will be accessing Streaming Server
      • For example, if you have students and instructors accessing Streaming Server, then provide student test credentials and instructor test credentials.
  • Your Swank account team will use the test credentials to complete the setup and data mapping.
    • Depending on the data that we receive from your system, we may have additional questions about how you identify the user's first name, last name, user name, email address, and role.
  • For a more detailed discussion of this configuration, see section Detailed Configuration Information.
