Is SSO authentication via SAML right for my organization?

Streaming Server uses a standard implementation of SAML 2.0, with Streaming Server as the Service Provider. If you answer yes to these questions, then SSO authentication via SAML may be right for you:

  • Does your organization (probably IT) maintain a list of users with access to your systems?
  • Does your organization operate a SAML 2.0 Identity Provider service?
    • Can your organization provider a SAML Identity Provider Metadata XML file?
  • Does your organization want to control which users have access to Streaming Server?
